Such an incredible beauty, Tamar
A unreasonable treasure, Tamar
Condemned to an unrelieved boredom
In front of the Van lake's wisdom
Sometimes a beam of light, breaks
Through the bars of her keep.
She cries, she cries, so much,
That her tears blend into the lake.
The fisher sees the pure wave
And follows it, til he finds, Tamar.
He will come again each night,
Guided by the light she sends him.
The lake could vanish away,
The birds could fall silent,
Nothing exists, but the velvet
In the eyes of Tamar.
The king hears the poem,
And kills the sparkling light.
The fisher sinks, desoriented,
In a last moan : Akh Tamar!
At night, if your heart is pure,
U will hear the lake sing Akh Tamar,
And the wind groaning with pain,
You will never forget her name, Tamar.
