Ashqe Sohniya Intro Video 2007

We are a bhangra team with members from all over the United States. Here is a little explanation of our name. "Ashqe" is an expression of pure joy/happiness and is used when one is proud of an action they are doing. "Sohniya" is a word that goes along with Ashqe that describes guys in a positive manner. So the meaning of this name within the context of our team is deeper than what it appears. We chose it because this expression embodies the passion that each of our dancers has for bhangra. We are all proud and thankful for the opportunity to dance, especially in our first year, and we look forward to seeing old faces and meeting new ones in the near future!
